Door Entry Systems
Harris and Sandford can supply and install a simple audio door
entry system or video door entry system expanding to multi door
and handset PC based systems conforming to the DDA
(Disability Discrimination Act 1995)
In addition we install magnetic locks, exit buttons, power
supplies and much more.
From 2004 the DDA requires service
providers (including local authorities, businesses and
organisation) to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to the physical
features of their premises to overcome physical barriers for
disabled people in accessing goods, facilities and services.
Harris and Sandford can design a system to your specification
incorporating the DDA requirements, this new
range of products incorporate illuminated buttons with tactile
digits for the visually impaired and ‘door open’ and ‘speak now’
LED indicators for the hard of hearing.
Also available are Stainless steel vandal resistant panels,
surface or flush mounted.
Most panels are modular and can
be used with digital, card or proximity access systems.
Incorporating proximity access
with a door station is all the more beneficial for disabled people,
especially those working in that building, as it does not
require them to operate locking equipment. Users simply present
a tag or card at the door’s reader, which ‘reads’ the unique
code on that card via RF energy, and the door is released.
